The Fairfax & Roberts legacy began in 1858, and has since set the standard in Australian jewellery craftsmanship of the finest quality. Maintaining our own exclusive on-premise workshop of international standards, every piece of jewellery is handcrafted, and set by the very best artisans. Bespoke pieces are meticulously created using traditional tools and manufacturing methods much like artisans prior to the 1900s.

Fairfax & Robert’s jewellery designer Catherine Barnett brings a passion for bespoke jewellery and precious gemstones. Barnett’s established career spans over eighteen years, most recently in London’s Old Bond Street designing one-off couture and collective ready to wear jewellery for world renowned fine jewellers. A Gemmologist and Diamond Grader, Barnett understands how design is influenced by the properties of precious gemstones, and how to maximise their beauty in the final piece. Seduced by alluring gemstones and fine jewellery craftsmanship, Barnett uses the foundations of graphic design; balance, harmony and aesthetic in each piece of jewellery.
