When two companies that are the epitome of timeless style join forces, you can be sure that the evening will be an affair to remember. And so it was when luxury jeweller Fairfax & Roberts partnered with iconic shoe designer Christian Louboutin to showcase the stunning new Modèle collection and highlights of the Christian Louboutin Spring/Summer collection at the flagship Fairfax & Roberts store. The in-house designers and artisans of Fairfax & Roberts looked to the boulevards and boites of Paris in the 1920s when they were designing and crafting the pendants, earrings and bangles that make up the collection. Art Deco was a style that celebrated life and this was manifested in art, architecture, fashion and jewellery with zest, colour and playfulness. It also fulfilled a desire for a style that would not be threatened by change and would have sense of perennial chic. This influence is obvious in the distinctive fan shape that runs through the Modèle collection while the bespoke options and bold lines anchor it firmly in the present. Who better then to partner with than famed shoe designer and global brand Christian Louboutin, who was born and raised in Paris’s 12th arrondissement and who, as a young man, was intrigued by Egypt, which was also an influence on Art Deco style and design. Guests at this exclusive event were treated to cocktails by VDKA 6100, Pommery Champagne, and sophisticated canapes by Tokonoma. Lucky guests took home the door prizes of a Christian Louboutin Macaron wallet, a stunning sapphire and 18K yellow gold necklace created by Fairfax & Roberts’ own artisans and a bottle of VDKA 6100 Vodka personally signed by Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro. “Modèle is an exciting new collection for us,” says Fairfax & Roberts CEO Georgina Brujic, “and we were thrilled to host this event with a brand that has such a strong background and aesthetic in the Paris design world.” The Modèle collection can be customised with a choice of white, yellow or rose gold and the ability to add diamonds to the pendants, drop earrings and bangles that make up this very wearable range. Each piece in the collection is designed to enhance the everyday style of a woman who’s confident of her presence and place in the world. A piece of truly exceptional jewellery is a rare thing and the entire Modèle collection is now on display at Fairfax & Roberts’ flagship showroom at 19 Castlereagh St, Sydney.
